Problem faced with Terra Bite WD1002FAEX-00Y9A0 western digital black

Hi,

I have just installed this HD on my PC and after installing Win XP, I have realised that in the properties of the HD, it shows that I have only 132Gig of capacity for C drive.

But inside the volumes tab in the device manager, I have 953868MB.

I updated my bios but still no joy.

Hope you can help me.

I am using an ASUS M2N68-VM motherboard wrunning on WinXP Professional.

The problem is that you need to use Windows XP with at least Service Pack 1 (SP1) pre-installed on the install CD.  The original XP install CD will always have problems finding the large hard drives.
