Problem connecting to the server "MyBookLive"

I have no issue with my MyBook at home where it lives.  When I’m anywhere else, though, (on any other network), my macbook gets a popup error message every 30 seconds or so that says:

“There was a problem connecting to the server “MyBookLive”.  The server may not exist or is unavailable at this time.  Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.”

I don’t need to connect to the MyBook when on these other networks, and as far as I can tell, nothing on my macbook is trying to pull from the server to trigger this error.  It happens even when all applications are closed.  All I want to do is stop this error message from popping up when I’m not at home, because it’s incredibly annoying.

Any suggestions?

Is the drive mapped?

As soon as you connect to a network the Mac will try to reconnect any available network drives that are mapped.

Also, if a Time Machine backup is setup the Mac will also attempt to do it if on line.
