Problem connecting my new drive

Hello all,
I bought a new WD Desktop Green 5TB and then I realized that my pc doesn’t support this amount of memory.
That is why, I bought an external box:

to use the Drive as a normal external disk.
The problem is that when I connect the drive to the box, the drive does do the typical noise, but my computer doesn’t recognize it.
Could you plese tell me if I’m doing something wrong?

Hello there,

Something you always have to make sure when you get an enclosure, is that it supports the this drive size. Since i have not tried this, i would not be able to asure that this particular unit would support your drive, but lets see if another user can share some information or tips on this matter.

This ORICO enclosure will(should) work (Max Capacity 6TB) … also you will need use GPT Partitioning for Windows to see all of the capacity of the drive
