Problem after Software Update

After software update to 1.64 on My Book Essentials 2 days ago, My Book has been running continually. It says “Categorizing Files on the C drive”. It never stops, and doesn’t appear to be getting anywhere. Tried to update the Firmware, but it says it’s up to date with 2.18. I’m running Windows 7 Home Premium.

stop the backup, eject the drive and then reconnect

see if the backup will start after that
