Print Share Status 'Not Ready'?

I have an HP LJET 1200 connected via Print Share.  The Status says ‘not Ready’ and when I hit Connect,  it changes to Manual Connected by…'.  The documentation says the status should read ‘Auto Connect’ so I don’t have to manually connect.  Why does my printer not do that?  Thanks!

Never mind.  I found another post which said I can right click on the printer and select Enable Auto connect.  But it did not say that in the documentation.  Now it works.
