Prevent pop-up of folder / album art

Whenever I select anything in a folder - a movie, song or TV show, the art pops up and, if there is no art, just a big ‘film roll’ or music icon is displayed, hiding information for other files or tracks.

Is there way to disable that, such as an XML edit? I’m ok with NEVER showing anything in a popup, even if album art exists.

Have you tried changing the view type?

Thanks - I have, but either I get the preview mode, which I don’t need, or a larger, permanent art. The list view is great, I just wish I could prevent the cover art from popping up (especially when it’s just a big icon, and not even art)
