Im thinking about purchasing a “Western digital My Passport Ultra 1TB” external drive.
As I checked this specific external drive is defined as a windows external drive.
I am using both PC and Mac and my questions are:
- Is it possible to divide the 1TB into 800GB Partition under “Mac OSX extended” format and the other 200GB under ExFat or some shared format supported by both mac and PC?
My goal is to use 800GB for my Mac and 200GB shared space to use in both Mac and PC.
- Considering the first question is do-able will the Time Machine application in my Mac will work with the 800GB partition?
