just bought a brand spanking new ubs 3.0 lacie superspeed usb hub with external power. tried to connect my wd passport 1tb to it and no recognition by windows. the drive is getting power (i see the activity light on the drive & feel the platters spinning), but the hub doesn’t light up green for that port being in use and windows doesn’t see anything.
anyone have similar experiences with powered hubs? suggestions?
What OS are you using and does it support USB 3.0? Does the drive work when connected without the hub? If so the problem is with the hub.

my first thought is that the passport is not getting enough power to spin up.
