Brand new unit, I connect everything right, black screen, the power on led goes off after few seconds. Pressing power again, Led turns On, then Off in a few seconds.Black screen all the time.

If I unplug power and plug it back, led goes on then off again in a few seconds, same as while pressing the power button

Suggestions? Defective unit?

Sounds like a defective unit.  As soon as you plug it in, it should turn on and stay on.  RMA.

Agreed, unless you happen to have another remote wedged in a seat cushion that’s turning it off!  Cover the IR window with your hand when you plug in and see what happens.

Some CFL’s and LCD displays can screw with infrared devices, too.
