Power Adapter Problem

I have a WD 5000E035.  It uses a strange (to me) power adapter plug that looks like a pin connection. I have two of these power adapters. When I plug one in, the green light on top of the power adapter just flashes, but does not stay on. When I plug in the second one, the green light stays on for about a second, then just turns off. I’m hoping this is a problem with the adapter and not the HD itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
