Possibility to connect my WD Elements to the SRT 8110 Terrestrial receiver

Hi,

I need some help. I’ve recently purchased WD Elements Desktop 2TB and I’m trying to connect to the terrestrial receiver STRONG SRT 8110 in order to watch videos on my TV. Receiver has an USB connection and I use to plug in different external drives with no problem. Now when I tried to plug in Elements I just received a message on the receiver display that it doesn’t recognized format, or no device found. 

Does anyone know how to solve this problem, do I need to install additional software or there is some other procedure that can help me? Or is it impossible to connect those to devices?

I think the Elements 2TB is formatted with 4K sectors.  The so-called Advanced Formatting.

If your STB doesn’t support 4K sectors, it’s not going to work.   You might be able to reformat it.

It’s probably the only way to connect those two. Do you maybe have some suggestions how to reformat SRT to support 4k sectors?
