Do you have to activate port forwarding with a time capsule airport exstreem? I know I have to do it with the linksys series, but do I with apple products??
Only if the ports are blocked. I haven’t seen that problem in the forum.
The Apple products do not support UPnP which is how we program the router to open up ports for WD 2go. If we fail to do that we revert to something called relayed mode. This relays the data through our central servers. Doing this is slower than directly accessing through your router, so if you feel the access is too slow, then you can enable port forwarding in your apple router.
