Plex on EX2

I have heard that plex server does not run well on the EX2 as the processor is underpowered . This is surprising as the EX2 ultra has a processor and Ram better than similar sinology products. My main need is to run plex to view photos and play music to an airplay speaker via iPhone.
Two points (1) will I be able to use Plex for my needs ?
(2) What sort of behemoth o plex expect us to be running on ? Are there better , less intensive. alternatives ?

You can install and run Plex on the EX2 Ultra. The main difference between the different HW capabilities is the video transcoding feature. If you are simply using it for music and photo, it should be no problem. I recommend checking on the Plex forum for recommendations.
