I have been using My Cloud Home 4TB as a Plex server for close to 2 years. It recently updated to 8.5.1-102 automatically and now I can’t access the server on any device through the Plex app. The drive itself is still accessable using WD Discovery and I can access the folders to add or remove files through my windows PC as I always have previously.
On the WD Discovery App when I try to access the ‘Apps’ tab all I get is a blue spinning circle like its loading, which never resolves.
Same issue. I have 2 drives on version 8.5.1 - Plex not working, can’t map drive. 2 Drives on version 7.16.0 - Plex still working and mapping as network drive. Can I revert the software back to 7.16.0 and prevent auto-update
You can see there’s only the “Social and Cloud import” app. Every other apps we were supposed to use previously (Plex, Elephant Drive, etc) are gone.
So please WD, make what you have to to let us install Plex as previously or let us install any other app, because during this time, we can’t stream zero content from our NAS and it’s very annoying.
I must admit that’s very awkward… one thing is to read in previous posts plex not working anymore another thing is the apps are missing.
A few things come to my mind: Did you try to soft reboot the device? Did you try the web app and desktop apps as well? tried to reinstall or update the mobile app?
