I ran the utilities on my NAS and I can see that Plex really eats up lots of resources and I am sure that is why it’s always bogged down; can’t play files or slow access to the dashboard, very slow. I have approx 4K media files (MP3), not doing video but just the scan of my files is taking forever, almost a week and still scanning.
Do I need a different NAS or should I be looking at a diff media server? What do you think. I have a Mac (High Sierra- 2017).
I just want to be able to access my media locally, not remote, but I can’t get the media to play or I’ll get errors and the tune stops playing, probably because the server is still scanning.
Really appreciate your advise.
