So apparently the PR4100 is one of the few devices that can hardware accelerate PMS without a Plex pass. Most of the time I use direct play to stream to my PS4. Sometimes I watch with subtitles enabled.
Subtitles will trigger the transcoding of the movie. When I enable the hardware acceleration and enable subtitles my movies are stupidly slow, won’t play at all (plex error message) or are in a very bad resolution.
When i disable “ha”, everything works fine although the resolution could be better. Anybody else got these issues or anything related?
