I would like to provide Backup for my new 1TB WD MYCloud, but have no experience with this facility. Are there any well-recommended external (non-portable) drives available?
Any USB disk would work. Recommended format is NTFS. Don’t pull the USB cable out of the back of the NAS without first ejecting the disk from the NAS admin UI, or you WILL corrupt the file system of your disk.
If your USB disk is not recognized, use a computer to delete the volume on that USB disk, recreate one and reformat as NTFS.
Hi, are you saying it is possible to backup data on My Cloud to an external USB-disk connected directly to My Cloud? Is it possible to take scheduled incremental backups to USB disk?
