USB broadband? As in 3G / 4G cellular data? If that’s what you mean, then your salesperson lied to you…
It does support WIFI on USB, as long as you use a supported adapter…

Look here:
If you are getting a USB adapter, make sure that you pay attention to the revision version. If you get a different version, it probably will not work.
Perhaps your Cellphone supports Data Tethering?
If so, then you can use WiFi on the WDTV to tether to your phone.
