I got an error message telling me to format my drive before i can use it… so when i tried to do that the format fails everytime. I used drive management to erase the partiotions on the HD, and create new ones. After creating the new partiotion, the file type is RAW, says to format. Try to format to NTFS file system, format fails every time. Any suggestions?

Use the WD DLG to write zeroes to the drive and then reformat and partition the unit. The application is available for download at the WD website. See the link below:
