Please Help, Cannot Disable/Change Password on "My Passport" 1TB WD Security App

Hello,

 

So I activated WD Security on my drive yesterday. I remember the password, however, I cannot change the password or disable password protection when opening up the WD Security Settings; it keeps saying that there is no drive attached and to attach a WD supported drive, when I do in fact have a drive attached.

I have auto unlock on for my computer only, so there is no need for a password. How do I disable password protect?

 

I DO NOT have WD smartware installed, just the WD security program.

Try installing the latest firmware update for your drive. You can also try uninstalling WD security from your PC and then installing it again. Follow the link below and click on your hard drive model to view all of the available downloads.
