Plays fine, then after going back to menu or using fast forward, loses sound

I have a WD TV Live player with WD 1.5TB USB drive

I connect using HDMI

All videos play fine.

About once per night after going back to menu or using fast forward, I lose audio.

Only reset to default works.

I am set to stereo not digital.

Couldn’t find the answer on any thread.

My firmware is up to date.

Could anyone suggest my next move. Resetting to factory defaults twice a night is not an answer.

Apart from that - I like the unit.

Welcome to the forums.

We’re getting several reports of that recently.  It *might* be an HDMI handshaking issue – you could try changing from “Auto” to some set resolution (like 1080p) in your Audio/Video settings menu and see if that makes a difference.  Trying another HDMI cable might be worth it as well.
