PiDrive with greater than 1TB capacity?

I’m using a Raspberry Pi 3 (OpenELEC) + 2.5A PSU

and a Raspberry Pi 2 (LibreELEC) + 2.0A PSU

both have in the config.txt
safe_mode_gpio=4
max_usb_current=1

and my 4TB My Passport Ultra works fine on both

Yes (i have tested several WD Portable Drives, All different Sizes [Ultras, Elements, Pi Drives etc] … and they all work fine) But … 3 Things You must have at minimum a 2A 5V Power Supply [a good quality one] Only One Portable HDD will work at a time (but you can plug in as many externally powered as you want) You also need to add the following lines inside the config.txt on the SD Card max_usb_current=1 safe_mode_gpio=4 My Passport Ultra is on loan to a family member … but here’s a pic o…
