Dear All, i just bought WD MY BOOK ESSENTIAL 2TB (USB3.0+USB2.0 version). Installed all drivers and Smart ware, copied files to the drive and shut down the computer. On next start of PC the external drive isn’t recognized. Only removing the USB cable and inserting it again, the drive appears in My Computer. How can i solve this problem? Thnaks in advance

Is the drive password-protected? If so, you have to remove the password in order for the drive to start on its own.
If not, what have you tried so far? Is this to happen on each USB port on your computer? Does it wake up if you press the power button on the back?
