How secure is Western Digital’s password and encryption on a “My Passport for Mac” in comparison to one of the 3rd party password/encryption services - such as TrueCrypt?
I believe it’s military grade and there is no reset or bypass option if you forget password. There is a board with the USB connector on it that supplies the encryption. Any data erecovered wothout that board is encrypted and useless.
