Password protection is not letting to boot from WD... Help!

I have got 1TB WD Passport. I have made two partitions, 1st one is formatted in Mac encrypted format to backup my macbook pro (bootable) and 2nd one in ExFAT format (for Windows).

Since I have password protected the drive using WD security software therefore it doesn’t allow me to boot up from bootable partition. However it allows me to boot from it if i remove the password. Is it somehow possible to address this issue. Even password protecting only one partition would help but the software doesn’t allow me to do that.

That’s not an issue. That’s how the drive is supposed to function.  If you want to use the drive as a bootable drive, then you can’t password protect it.
