I forgot my password on my MY BOOK device and need to get it reset or removed. Does anyone know how that is done? I am registered with WD and all that.
There is no work around to bypass the security when a password is forgotten. You can reformat the drive to remove the password but all the data would be erased. It is designed that way to prevent data theft, which in most cases is more valuable than the drive itself.
