I partitioned My Passport Ultra, after which I do not get option to unlock. Thus have I lost security option? How do I get back security? Thanks.
Make sure to restore all the applications that come on the drive.
That includes the security software.

If you install WD Security and/or WD Drive Utilities on your computer before partitioning the unit, then you should be able to have access to the applications from your list of programs. If not, then they can be downloaded for free from the links suggested previously.
However, please bear in mind that in case you meant dividing/splitting the unit by “partitioning”, then the security feature will encrypt the entire device instead of individual partitions.
