Hello, has anybody tried to delete everything from the drive and seen what happens? (Including the hidden cd partition.) Does WD offers an image to recover such a clean drive to a “factory new state”? Best regard
Hello, you can delete any files from the main partition, but the virtual disk partition cannot be removed.

The virtual CD cannot be modified in any way, it wont let you format it or change the format type, it is made like this so you don’t lock yourself out of the Passport permanently in case you use password protection. The VCD should not affect the boot behavior in any way.
