My 2tb drive is not showing up in my cpu section anymore. It shows in the eject storage option at bottom screen. It says device is working properly when I click on devices and it shows this under properties of the drive. I have windows 8.1.
I use the external drive as my main storage. I have been using it with my laptop and it has mistakenly been taken out without choosing the eject option a few times. Yesterday the drive kept going in and out malfunctioning while still connected. Earlier today I was working in photoshop and photoshop froze also my web pages etc, So I ended up having to hard reboot. My drive has not shown up since then.
PLEASE HELP… I HAVE IMPORTANT FILES NEEDED FOR MY BUSINESS! Lights still work, There is no clicking sound, after 3-4 minutes connected it makes a beep sound. any suggestions? I don’t want to pay 1000 to retrieve from a professional. DOES ANYBODY KNOW DIY… can you send a link or instruct
