Passport lost a drive letter? Was partitioned E & F, now only F shows up? What?

Drive has worked fine for several years. Today I went to do my normal backup of Quicken and it told me “no such drive exists”. I said “What?, I just backed this up 3 days ago”.

Disc is partitioned F=48mb / E=100mb. Drive shows in device manager; F shows in My Computer; but 100mb of E is gone.

Is there a way to get E back without re-partioning?

First test the hard drive using DLG.
