Passport for Mac 4tb failed back up

I have had My Passport for a couple of years. I can still read it but since 07/11/2020 it has failed to back up. there is still 3+tb let so the disc is ok and not full. cannot see a driver to reinstall and have contacted WD but no reply as of yet.
