Hi all,
I recently had to Quick Format my brand new My Passport SE (1TB) drive and i cannot reinstall the password protection any longer. I know the WD software installed in my laptop is working properly because i have a second WD MP SE drive that works perfectly, but the software is not recognizing the one i formatted. I installled the firmware and software updates today.
When i try to run WD SmartWare from the formatted drive i get “WD SmartWare: application not started from drive”
The drive itself works (i was able to copy my files there without issues) but i need to install the Security portion to password protect the drive. Any suggestions??
