Passport 3 TB Ultra: Lemon drive alert same issue on replaced drive

I was sent a replacement 3TB passport Ultra after the previous one stopped working (lost all the data). Now again the second replaced drive is having similar issue. Drive lights up makes a clicking noise and doesn’t mount on the mac book pro. I have a lot of data on it. WD support says “Sorry !” and want to send another replacement drive for the third time . I am sick of this ! A lot of memories are stored on that drive and I can’t access them.

  • I have changed the USB cable with another new drives cable.

  • My USB ports are working fine on the mac book pro.

  • The drive is directly connected to my laptop

What can I do as the enduser…frustrated !

In order to recover the data on the drive you may try using a data recovery software.

I also recommend you to always have a backup of your important data in case something like this happens.
