hi when i put my passport for mac firstly it doesnt show up in finder or anywhere, then a pop up comes up saying “The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer” When I go to disc utilities and try to repair it it says “partition map failed because no slices were found” in the hard drive information it says the Smart status is unsupported, it says there are no partitions and the partition scheme is GUID partition table. I was just wondering if there was not a way to repair these things without re-formatting? many thanks if you can help

I recommend that you try on another computer with another USB cable if possible to verify you still get the same issue.
