Partition, then RAID backup?

Hi -

I am considering purchasing a MBL Duo 6TB to use with two different MacBooks and iPhones. I want to partition the 3TB drive into:

  • Backup for first laptop

  • Backup for second laptop

  • iPhoto Library

  • iTunes library

  • Movies & TV files

And then I want to mirror all of that to the second 3TB hard drive. Possible?

You can create Shares as you wish, but you can’t partition.

But the end result is the same? Five different “sections” of the hard drive, each backed up?

Any experience accessing an iPhoto drive remotely over a wireless connection like this? Slow?
