Partition table corrupted in MyBookLive Duo 8TB

Copy the good partition table from disk b to disk a

dd if=/dev/sdb of=/dev/sda count=1 bs=512

You could try installing gdisk too. It is very useful for fixing partition table issues etc

apt-get update

apt-get install gdisk

gdisk /dev/sda
?

and you should get some recommended option for a fix

same with sdb

gdisk /dev/sdb
?

i downalod R-Linux for Windows and try open drive file but faild so i scan it maybe can recover data at first it will take 2 days.

both of partition tables for Disk A and Disk B is corrupted and for my bad luck i use spanning mode .

but i install new backup image for MyBookLiveDuo on diffrent hard disk to be able using debian os and try to plug Disk A on position of Disk B also plug Disk B on his position but no point

You will have to add the repo to /etc/apt/sources.list

Guide 1 there should also get you going. In your case you would have to run it on disk a and b. It will not touch your data partitions and if they are ok the span should rebuild in 10 minutes or so.

I would try gdisk first and if that doesn’t work, try guide 1 from the link above on both disk to write a clean OS to both disks. After you install the OS on the first disk, shut everything down and hook up the second disk and follow the same process. Pop both drives back in the enclosure and cross your fingers.

I have a feeling you have a bad hard drive in there for the partition table to corrupt twice like that. I’m not sure from your post if you debricked again to fix this and it didn’t work or if you are looking for gdisk commands to do it?

If you get it working again, I would get any data you need off there and RMA the unit

the first corrupt of table partition it was after use apt-get upgrade 

the seconde corrupt after install tor project and after restart it won’t able to start …

but i don’t know how to use gdksik what command i need to use please help me …

It’s hard to say because I don’t know which partition table is good. If the backup table is good I would go
