i do not like the mycloud connection and want to set up a owncloud. Has anyone done this on a ex2100 yet and shares his experience with me?

as EX2100 supports the Docker Containerization environemt, you could install Owncloud as Docker Container.
Here we go with the Owncloud for Docker:

A step-by-step guide to get this running for a linux noob would be very appreciated…

Hello there. I created a really short guide to install ownCloud via Docker. I cannot guarantee it will work with the EX series as I had installed it on the DL2100. Anyhow, I hope this helps and if you have questions feel free to ask but please ask on the post on the link here:
