OUTPUT UserShares GETALLSHARENAMES errors in the error log

I’m giving the following error in my error logs:

2015 Jan 7 14:30:08 OTHER 192.168.1.100 OUTPUT UserShares GETALLSHARENAMES

CPU stays around 100 percent, uploads come to a crawl or nonexistent.

Could this be my problem?

Hi there and welcome to the WD community.

Try to uninstall the Smartware program and check to see if you get the same results without the software. you can also try to close the application entirely to see if the same issue persists. I would recommend contacting support if the issue is only when smartware is open:

So I uninstalled Smartware and rebooted the computer. Transferred a file over 1 gigabytes to the public shares and got the following errors:

SAMBA Authentication for user [MY USERNAME] has FAILED.

I don’t know what this means but I know SAMBA is the process on MyCloud EX2 box that is running at 100 percent almost all the time.

Did a lot of research on SAMBA via Google and all I ever saw was it was a UNIX process.
