Out of sub region

Just registered 4 new black WD Drives and I get an out of sub region under warranty status with the wrong warranty expiration date.

The error message in question indicates your units are meant to be sold in a different country within the same continental region. For example, US hard drives will be out of sub-region in Canada.

They are still eligible for worldwide warranty, but in order to amend an incorrect warranty expiration date you will need to send an E-mail to WD Support for instructions.

Hi: Trancer

Thanks for the information

I created a case Subject Length of warranty (5 years).

Provided support with the additional information they requested.

Emailed that it would take 24 to 48 hours to fix,

Its now November 26 2016 and nothing was fixed and the case was closed.

Who can I contact at Western Digital to resolve this problem?

NotaCanada

I have notified WD Support.

Thanks

Just an update.

The last email WD Support sent to me was on Dec 6 2016. Stating that it would take an additional 24 to 48 hours to fix the problem.

I logged on to my WD support portal on Jan 1 2017 and found that the case closed and the 5 year warranty problem fixed.

Thanks for your help Trancer.
