I purchased several 1TB Gold 3.5" drives a little less than a year ago for a RAID array in a server. I purchased these drives from a legitimate source here in the US (NewEgg). One of the drives failed on me. When I tried to access WD for an RMA I received a message that the drive was originally shipped out of the country and that the drive is not eligible for return.
Has any one here had this problem? Were you able to get it resolved? If so - who did you contact?
I have emailed NewEgg and am currently waiting for their reply. But since it was shipped by a third party, my level of confidence is not extremely high that there will be any resolution from them.
