There are a number of posts recently where people are having trouble with the WD My Cloud mobile app, especially on Android 10. In some (possibly all) cases it’s related to the SSL security certificate being out of date/expired. If using a web browser to access MyCloud.com and one gets the security certificate warning, one can accept the certificate and continue to access their My Cloud.

I’ve been working with WD “tech support” for about 10 hours over the past few days and can’t get this figured out. I can’t log into my mycloud account using the app. I can log in just fine using a browser and can see all of my files. But, when I try to log in using the app I get an “incorrect email or password” error. Even though I’m using the same password and email I use when I log in via the browser.

I’ve been having trouble with the android app for a while now. Several different units have lost connectivity via the os3 app. It started with an MX111 box that won’t accept the log on credentials. I have tried resetting the password, but it is still not accepted. I have checked logging into mycloud.com and its accepted straight away. is this a problem with android versions no longer being supported, as my tablet running 8.0 Oreo is now having the same problems.
