Opening Dashboard in Safari

I can’t open the Dashboard Interface on my Mac using Safari. I type in http://wdmycloud.local and nothing happens, Safari gets halfway along the url and sits there for hours. Any ideas?

Have you tried using the IP address?

I have the same issue as Coachcaptain. I have tried the ip address with the same result,the url opens halfway and then stops.Please advise

Not a safari fault as I can open it fine on my iphone, iPad and mac all using safari.
