Hello. I just recently bought a 1 TB My Passport portable drive so that I could import my files from my Onedrive cloud onto it. However, whenever I do so, it downloads a few files then gives me this error.
“Import failed - You don’t have permissions to create folders.”
I’m the only one who uses this computer, so I don’t quite understand this. I’m using Windows 10.
What is the current file format present in My Passport?
I would recommend you to use external hard drive formatted in “NTFS” or “exFAT” file format as these are supported by Windows OS and provide permissions to create folder during data import process.
I also have this problem and i’m unsure what the current file format present is. How do I check and what are the next steps?
