I am about two seconds away from trashing this darn thing.
Would someone be so kind enough to tell me how to update the firmware past 1.09.10. Claims there is a new version. I haven’t been able to update it about six months.
I have the four files on my usb drive.
Press HOME, and then select the Settings bar.
Select the firmware upgrade icon, and then press ENTER.
You are prompted to perform the firmware upgrade.
Select OK on the firmware update prompt, and then press ENTER. This will restart the system.
After restarting, the system automatically enters firmware upgrade mode.
Once the update process is completed, the WD TV Live HD Media Player will restart again.
Once the HD WD TV Live Media Player restarts, the new firmware is automatically loaded and the WD TV Live HD Media Player is ready for use.
I press HOME and I have no “Settings bar”. I do have setup but that leads me no where even close to anything resembling “firmware update icon”.
Really would be nice if they could fix this **bleep** thing.

The firmware update icon only shows on your home screen if you have ‘auto detect new firmware’ turned on in the system location & your smp is connected to internet - change settings/system/auto detect new firmware.
Are now saying that you can update and it stalls or that you put these files onto a USB drive, insert drive into player and you don’t see a new firmware found tab on the home screen. If you have stalled in the past you must know what the new firmware tab looks like.
Have you reset to factory defaults before attempting the update?
Are you connected to the internet and don’t you keep getting prompted to update?
Have you tried a different drive to update.
Have you tried both USB ports.

Well, I could try to use the update firmware button, however it ALWAYS stalls at 94%.
I did put these files on multiple usb drives and I now am at a stalled 0% update firmware screen that does nothing at all.

Of couse.
Are you connected to the internet and don't you keep getting prompted to update?
Have been connected to the internet for the last six months and have been getting prompted to update for the entire six months.
