Ok. I got a bit of the heeby-geebies. In /etc/nas/apache2/auth/apache_userlist what is the purpose of user 196042 which does not show-up on the Dashboard UI’s list of users?
I’m never comfortable finding user logins on operating systems where I can’t explain such a user-name’s existance.
This is a globally unique ID created when you enable a email address for remote access or add a mobile device. This is part of how the WD2go infrastructure works.
Sweet! I’m happy now. I guess being a time servered network and systems administrator makes one a bit nervious when a user account is found and its purpose is unknown.
