On screen display when files play! very annoying is thier a way of getting rid of it?

Hi recently bought the hub, love pretty much evrything about it, apart from the osd that comes up in the top left of the screen when each file begins to play, there must be a way to turn it off? Please help :slight_smile:

I believe you mean the audio/video info (the OSD is the default theme).

This is fairly easy to remove.  All you need to do is, from your PC, open the “wd_tv / theme” folder on the HUB (you’ll need to make sure you have your PC set to show hidden folders) then select the theme that you are using and find the “video_run.xml”.   If the theme you are using doesn’t have this xml, you’ll need to download the Legacytheme or better yet the OSD (Mochi theme) which you can get from HERE and copy the “video_run.xml” to the theme your using.  Then delete these lines:

 
   
   
   
 

That will keep the audio/video info from displaying.

Also, if you are using the default Mochi theme, the only way to change it in this theme is to go to the “.wd_tv / theme” folder and create a new folder and name it something like “Mochi 2”  then copy the “video_run.xml” to that folder and edit as stated above.

Then on the HUB go to Setup / Appearance / User Interface Themes, and select Mochi 2 for the theme.  Everything will be the same as the Mochi theme, except for the audio/video info no longer displaying.

is it possible to move the OSD to the top of the screen to avoid it from being over the subtitles??
