I have an old WD Passport for Mac bought around 2008-2009
The power/connection input is broken - does anyone know if it’s possible to use a HDD receiver or something to gather the items on the harddisk?
This model is old enough that it probably does not have onboard encryption. You should be able to remove the drive from the enclosure and use a 3rd party enclosure or drive adapter cable to connect it to a computer and copy the data off. If you provide the model number, not the serial number. I can verify if you can do that.
I’m not sure what to look for but I have found the following: drive parameters, P/N, CT, WD P/N, serial ATA Hard Drive, R/N, date, DCM, DCX, 5VDC, S/N
