Old My Cloud still using, want to add another NAS to my network, issues?

I still use my old, very old My Cloud, what a great product, however it is old.

I still want to keep it on my Network for Time Machine Backups, but add a new NAS for other things, like media server, email server, backup photos, video, and data.

However, I have no open Ethernet port on my router because the My Cloud is connected to it.

How do I use that port if I add another NAS. Do I need a managed switch??? How do i use one port for two NAS boxes.

If I can do this then each NAS would have it’s own IP and I will be able to move files between them.

Comments???

Not rocket science. Just add a gigabit network switch to your network. You connect one network port on the router to one port on that network switch, then connect what ever wired Ethernet network clients you need to the remaining network ports on that network switch. You can get low cost 4 port (really they’re 5 ports because one port is used to connect to the router) network switches or go larger to 8 port or larger if needed.
