my cloud looks constantly offline home appliance. I’m afraid of losing my data. What can I do?
Not sure what you mean by “constantly offline home appliance”. What specific problem are you having and what troubleshooting steps have you tried?
The single bay My Cloud (subject of this subforum) features an option called Safepoint or Backup in the My Cloud Dashboard. The Safepoint/Backup will backup your entire My Cloud to a USB hard drive attached to the USB port of the My Cloud. See the My Cloud Dashboard Help or the My Cloud User Manual (https://support.wdc.com/product.aspx?ID=904)for more information on how to use the Safepoint/Backup option.
Or one can use Windows File Explorer / Mac Finder or any number of software applications to copy the files from the My Cloud to a hard drive either in a computer or attached to a computer.
There are even more options to backup the My Cloud data but the above are the basics.
