Can I connect a standard USB device like a MyBook or a Blu-Ray writer to the USB port on a Western Digital Sentinel DX4000 running Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials? I would like to be able to make a backup of the server files on media that can be stored off-site.
You can connect a USB drive and do a backup of the data that is in the Sentinel. You cannot connect a DVD or Blu Ray drive to the Sentinel.

We are also looking at cloud backup in the future as well.
